Sense 1
A point in time and space where the commander must make a key decision.
"At the first decision point, the commander chose to continue the attack."

A point in time or space where the commander must make a decision.
"The crossing of Phase Line BLUE was the key decision point."
How This Term Is Used
This is standard operational vocabulary that appears across situation reports, briefings, and orders. Candidates preparing for STANAG 6001 should be able to both recognise this term when listening or reading, and use it accurately in their own written reports and spoken responses.
