Definition

The source of power that provides moral or physical strength and will to act.

"The enemy's centre of gravity was its command and control network."

How This Term Is Used

This is standard operational vocabulary that appears across situation reports, briefings, and orders. Candidates preparing for STANAG 6001 should be able to both recognise this term when listening or reading, and use it accurately in their own written reports and spoken responses.
